African Violet Meetings
Meetings are the fourth Sunday of the month (except December).
Visitors are very welcome
2 pm at Cardiff Senior Citizens Centre
52 Harrison St Cardiff, on the corner of Harrison and Myall
We open at 1pm and start setting up - the 'Help Table', library and sales table all operate from about 1:30.
The Help Table is for individual help on all aspects of growing African Violets and other Gesneriads, 1:30pm to 2pm on meeting days.
Meetings have a mini show and a theme.
Examples of themes of previous meetings are: Basic Care, Watering, Fertilising, Grooming, Propagation, Artistic arrangements, Growing for show, Grotty plants, Pests, Flower show, Rejuvenating plants, Growing competition, Hybridising new plants, Gesneriads, Species violets, Minis and semi minis, Trailers.

28th April - The Artistic Classes - float bowls, underwater, dish garden etc. Show entries due. Post show care.

25th June- Back to Basics Part 2 & Selecting the right pot. Flower show of Mini Sinningias grown from seed given out in November.
23rd July - Back to Basics Part 3 potting on (postponed to August) and Wicks.
39th Birthday and Flower Show, no mini show,
27th August - Grotty plants, 'winners' chosen by popular vote. Back to Basics Part 3 potting on, keeping my AV alive and fixing grotty plants. Mini show as usual.
